CAPM is an entry-level certification; therefore, its requirements are less than other project management certifications such as PMP. CAPM exam is based on PMBOK Guide Sixth Edition. The CAPM certification training is for candidates who want to understand the various project management knowledge areas and processes involved in various project lifecycles.

Eligibility

Prerequisites for the CAPM certification exam are:-

  • Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree or the global equivalent)
  • 23 hours of project management education completed by the time you sit for the exam.

CAPM Exam Format

  • Exam type: Multiple choice
  • Number of Exam questions: 150 questions, 135 scored while 15 unscored.
  • Exam duration: 3 hours
  • Pass mark: The passing score is determined through psychometric analysis.
  • CAPM is a closed-book exam, meaning candidates are not allowed to consult their materials or resources.

How to Maintain your CAPM Certification

  • CAPM certification holders need to earn 15 PDUs every three years to maintain the certification.
